87 - Ala [ The Most High ]

1.	Rabbinin yüce adını tesbih et (O'nun eksikliklerden uzak olduğunu an).
	Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High,,
2.	O ki (her şeyi) yarattı, düzenledi.
	Who createth, then disposeth;
3.	Ve O ki herşeyin miktarını, biçimini belirleyip hedefini gösterdi.
	Who measureth, then guideth;
4.	Ve O ki otlağı çıkardı,
	Who bringeth forth the pasturage,
5.	Sonra da onu kupkuru, siyah bir çöpe çevirdi.
	Then turneth it to russet stubble.
6.	Sana (Kur'ân'ı), okutacağız, unutmayacaksın.
	We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forgett
7.	Yalnız Allâh'ın dilediğini unutursun. O, açığı da bilir, gizli olanı da.
	Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden;
8.	Seni en kolay yola muvaffak edeceğiz.
	And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease.
9.	O halde eğer hatırlatmak yarar verirse hatırlat, öğüt ver.
	Therefore remind (men), for of use is the reminder.
10.	(Allah'a) Saygılı olan hatırlar (öğüt alır).
	He will heed who feareth,
11.	Bahtsız olan da ondan kaçınır.
	But the most hapless will flout it,
12.	O da en büyük ateşe girer.
	He who will be flung to the great firee
13.	Sonra orada ne ölür, ne de yaşar.
	Wherein he will neither die nor live.
14.	Doğrusu, mutluluğa ermiştir zekât veren;
	He is successful who groweth,
15.	Rabbinin adını anıp namaz kılan.
	And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth.
16.	Ama siz, şu yakın hayâtı yeğliyorsunuz.
	But ye prefer the life of the worldd
17.	Oysa âhiret daha iyi ve daha kalıcıdır.
	Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting.
18.	Bu (hükümler), elbette ilk sahifelerde de vardı:
	Lo! this is in the former scrolls,
19.	İbrâhim'in ve Mûsâ'nn sayfalarında.
	The Books of Abraham and Moses.
