56 - Vakia [ The Great Event ]

1.	Olacak vak'a olduğu (kıyâmet koptuğu) zaman,
	When the event befalleth.
2.	Onun oluşunu yalanlayacak yoktur.
	There is no denying that it will befalll
3.	O alçaltıcı, yükselticidir (yerleri alt üst eder),
	Abasing (some), exalting (others);
4.	Yer şiddetliesarsıldığı,
	When the earth is shaken with a shockk
5.	Dağlar serpildikçe serpildiği,
	And the hills are ground to powderr
6.	Dağılan toz duman haline geldiği
	So that they become a scattered dust,
7.	Ve sizler üç sınıf olduğunuz zaman;
	And ye will be three kinds:
8.	Sağın adamları (amel defterleri sağ tarafından verilenler), ne uğurlulardır onlar!
	(First) those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand?
9.	Solun adamları (amel defterleri sol tarafından verilenler), ne uğursuzlardır onlar!
	And (then) those on the left hand; what of those on the left hand?
10.	Ve o sâbıklar, sâbıklar!
	And the foremost in the race, the foremost in the race:
11.	İşte , onlardır (Allâh'a) yaklaştırılanlar,
	Those are they who will be brought nighh
12.	Ni'met cennetlerinde.
	In gardens of delight;
13.	Çoğu öncekilerden,
	A multitude of those of oldd
14.	Birâzı da sonrakilerden (olan bu insanlar),
	And a few of those of later timee
15.	Altın ve cevahirle işlenmiş tahtlar üzerindedirler.
	On lined couches,
16.	Onların üzerinde karşılıklı yaslanırlar.
	Reclining therein face to face.
17.	Çevrelerinde, ebedi yaşamağa erdirilmiş gençler dolaşır;
	There wait on them immortal youthss
18.	Akıp giden şarap kaynağından doldurulmuş testiler, ibrikler ve kadehlerle.
	With bowls and ewers and a cup from a pure springg
19.	(Bir şarap ki) Ondan ne başları ağrıtılır, ne de akılları giderilir.
	Wherefrom they get no aching of the head nor any madness,
20.	Beğendikleri meyva(lar),
	And fruit that they preferr
21.	Canlarının çektiği kuş et(ler)i,
	And flesh of fowls that they desiree
22.	İri gözlü hûriler,
	And (there are) fair ones with wide, lovely eyes,
23.	Saklı inciler gibi;
	Like unto hidden pearls,
24.	Yaptıklarına karşılık olarak.
	Reward for what they used do.
25.	Orada ne boş bir söz ve ne de günâha sokan bir laf işitirler.
	There hear they no vain speaking nor recriminationn
26.	Duydukları söz, yalnız "Selâm, selâm" dır.
	(Naught) but the saying: Peace, (and again) Peace.
27.	Sağın adamları, nedir o sağın adamları!
	And those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand?
28.	(Onlar) Dikensiz kirazlar,
	Among thornless lote-treee
29.	(Kökünden tepesine kadar) meyva dizili muzlar,
	And clustered plantains,
30.	Uzamış gölge(ler),
	And spreading shade,
31.	Fışkıran sular,
	And water gushing,
32.	Pek çok mevya arasında;
	And fruit in plentyy
33.	Tükenmeyen ve yasaklanmayan!
	Neither out of reach nor yet forbidden,
34.	Ve yükseltilmiş döşekler üstündedirler.
	And raised couches,
35.	Biz (oradaki) kadınları da yeniden bir güzel inşâ' etmişiz,
	Lo! We have created them a (new) creationn
36.	Onları bâkireler yapmışızdır.
	And made them virginss
37.	Hep yaşıt sevgililer;
	Lovers, friends,
38.	Sağın adamları için.
	For those on the right hand;
39.	(Bu sağcıların) Bir bölümü öncekilerdendir,
	A multitude of those of oldd
40.	Bir bölümü de sonrakilerdendir.
	And a multitude of those of later time.
41.	Solun adamları (amel defterleri, sol tarafından verilenler), nedir o solcular!
	And those on the left hand: What of those on the left hand?
42.	(Onlar) Delikçiklere işleyen bir ateş ve kaynar su içinde,
	In scorching wind and scalding waterr
43.	Kara dumandan bir gölge altında,
	And shadow of black smoke,
44.	Ki ne serindir, ne faydalı.
	Neither cool nor refreshing.
45.	Çünkü onlar bundan önce varlık içinde şımartılmışlardı.
	Lo! heretofore they were effete with luxuryy
46.	Büyük günâhı işlemekte ısrar ediyorlardı.
	And used to persist in the awful sin.
47.	Ve diyorlardı ki: "Biz öldükten, toprak ve kemik yığını olduktan sonra, biz mi bir daha diriltileceğiz?"
	And they used to say: When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised again,
48.	Önceki atalarımız da mı?
	And also our forefathers?
49.	De ki: "Öncekiler de sonrakiler de."
	Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Lo! those of old and those of later timee
50.	Belli bir günün buluşma vakti için mutlaka toplanacaklardır.
	Will all be brought together to the tryst of an appointed day.
51. Sonra siz de, ey sapık yalanlayıcılar (o zaman toplanacaksınız). Then lo! ye, the erring, the deniers, 52. (Suçlular) Mutlaka bir Zakkum ağacından yiyecekler, Ye verily will eat of a tree called Zaqqumm 53. Onunla karınları(nı) dolduracaklar, And will fill your bellies therewith; 54. Üzerine de kaynar su içeceklerdir. And thereon ye will drink of boiling water, 55. Susuzluk hastalığına tutulmuş develerin içişi gibi içeceklerdir! Drinking even as the camel drinketh. 56. İşte cezâ gününde onların ağırlanışı böyledir. This will be their welcome on the Day of Judgementt 57. Biz sizi yarattık; doğrulamanız gerekmez mi? We created you. Will ye then admit the truth? 58. Akıttığınız meniyi gördünüz mü? Have ye seen that which ye emit? 59. Siz mi onu yaratıyorsunuz, yoksa yaratıcılar biz miyiz? Do ye create it or are We the Creator? 60. Aranızda ölümü takdir eden biziz ve bizim önümüze geçilmiş değildir (kimse ölüme engel olamaz). We mete out death among you, and We are not to be outrun, 61. (Size böyle ölümü takdir ettik) Ki sizin yerinize benzerlerinizi getirelim ve sizi, bilmediğiniz bir biçimde yeniden inşâ' edelim. That We may transfigure you and make you what ye know not. 62. Andolsun, ilk yaratmayı bildiniz, (bunu) düşünüp ibret almanız gerekmez mi? And verily ye know the first creation. Why, then, do ye not reflect? 63. Ektiğinizi gördünüz mü? Have ye seen that which ye cultivate? 64. Siz mi onu bitiyorsunuz, yoksa bitirenler biz miyiz? Is it ye who foster it, or are We the Fosterer? 65. Dileseydik, onu kuru bir çöp yapardık, sızlanıp dururdunuz: If We willed, We verily could make it chaff, then would ye cease not to exclaim: 66. Biz borçlandık, (yaptığmız masraflar boşa gitti)! Lo! we are laden with debt! 67. Doğrusu, biz yoksun bırakıldık! (derdiniz). Nay, but we are deprived! 68. İçtiğiniz suya baktınız mı? Have ye observed the water which ye drink? 69. Siz mi onu buluttan indirdiniz, yoksa indirenler biz miyiz? Is it ye who shed it from the rain-cloud, or are We the shedder? 70. Dileseydik onu tuzlu yapardık. Şüketmeniz gerekmez mi? If We willed We verily could make it bitter. Why, then, give ye not thanks? 71. (İki dalı birbirine sürterek) Çıkardığınız ateşi gördünüz mü? Have ye observed the fire which ye strike out; 72. Onun ağacını siz mi yarattınız, yoksa yaratanlar biz miyiz? Was it ye who made the tree thereof to grow, or were We the grower? 73. Biz onu bir ibret ve çölden gelip geçenlere bir fayda yaptık. We, even We, appointed it a memorial and a comfort for the dwellers in the wilderness. 74. Öyleyse büyük Rabbinin adını yücelt. Therefore (O Muhammad), praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. 75. Yoo, yıldızların yerlerine yemin ederim, Nay, I swear by the places of the starss 76. Bilirseniz, bu büyük bir yemindir. And lo! that verily is a tremendous oath, if ye but kneww 77. O, elbette değerli bir Kur'ân'dır, That (this) is indeed a noble Qur'ann 78. Saklı bir Kitâptadır. In a Book kept hiddenn 79. Ki ona temizlerden başkası dokunmaz. Which none toucheth save the purified, 80. (O), Âlemlerin Rabbinden indirilmiştir. A revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 81. Şimdi siz, bu sözü mü küçümsüyorsunuz? Is it this Statement that ye scorn, 82. (Kur'ân'dan istifade edeceğiniz yerde) Rızkınızı, yalanlamanızdan ibaret mi kılıyorsunuz (sizin ondan elde ettiğiniz nasib, sadece onu yalanlamanız mıdır)? And make denial thereof your livelihood? 83. Ya can boğaza dayandığı zaman? Why, then, when (the soul) cometh up to the throat (of the dying) 84. Ki siz de o zaman (can çekişen kimseye) bakıp durursunuz. And ye are at that moment lookingg 85. Biz ona sizden daha yakınız, fakat siz görmezsiniz. And We are nearer unto him than ye are, but ye see nott 86. Eğer (öldükten sonra) cezâlandırılmayacaksanız Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us), 87. (Bu sözünüzde doğru iseniz) o(çıkmakta olan ca)nı geri döndürsenize! Do ye not force it back, if ye are truthful? 88. (O can, Allah'a) Yaklaştırılanlardan ise, Thus if he is of those brought nigh, 89. O'na rahatlık, güzel rızık ve ni'met cenneti var. Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delightt 90. Eğer sağcılardan (amel defteri sağ tarafından verilenlerden) ise, And if he is of those on the right hand, 91. (Ey sağcı) Sana sağcılardan selâm var! Then (the greeting) "Peace be unto thee" from those on the right handd 92. Ama yalanlayıcı sapıklardan ise; But if he is of the rejecters, the erring, 93. Kaynar sudan bir ziyafet, Then the welcome will be boiling waterr 94. Ve cehenneme atılma var. And roasting at hell-fire. 95. Kesin gerçek budur işte. Lo! this is certain truth. 96. Öyleyse büyük Rabbinin adını tesbih et (O'nu, kendisine lâyık olmayan sıfatlardan tenzih eyle). Therefore (O Muhammad) praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. Toplam 96 Ayet.
