81 - Tekvir [ The Covering Up ]

1.	Güneş büzüldüğü zaman,
	When the sun is overthrown,,
2.	Yıldızlar kararıp döküldüğü zaman,
	And when the stars fall,
3.	Dağlar yürütüldüğü zaman,
	And when the hills are moved,
4.	On aylık gebe develer başı boş bırakıldığı zaman,
	And when the camels big with young are abandoned,
5.	Vahşi hayvanlar bir araya toplandığı zaman,
	And when the wild beasts are herded together,
6.	Denizler kaynatıldığı zaman,
	And when the seas rise,
7.	Nefisler çiftleştirildiği zaman.
	And when souls are reunited,
8.	Ve sorulduğu zaman o diri diri toprağa gömülen kıza:
	And when the girl-child that was buried alive is askedd
9.	Hangi günâh(ı) yüzünden öldürüldü? diye.
	For what sin she was slain,
10.	(Amel) defterler(i) açılıp yayıldığı zaman,
	And when the pages are laid open,
11.	Gök sıyrılıp açıldığı zaman,
	And when the sky is torn away,
12.	Cehennem alevlendirildiği zaman,
	And when hell is lightedd
13.	Cennet yaklaştırıldığı zaman,
	And when the garden is brought nighh
14.	Her can, ne yapıp getirdiğini bilir.
	(Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready.
15.	Yoo, yemin ederim o geri kalıp gizlenenlere;
	Oh, but I call to witness the planets,
16.	Akıp gidenlere, dönüp saklananlara,
	The stars which rise and set,
17.	Sırtını dönen geceye,
	And the close of night,
18.	Soluk almağa başlayan sabaha,
	And the breath of morningg
19.	(Andolsun bunlara) Ki o, değerli bir elçinin (Cebrâil'in) sözüdür.
	That this is in truth the word of an honoured messenger,
20.	(O elçi,) Güçlüdür, Arşın sâhibi (Allâh) katında yücedir.
	Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne,
21.	Orada (kendisine) itâ'at edilen, güvenilendir.
	(One) to be obeyed, and trustworthy;
22.	Arkadaşınız cinli değildir.
	And your comrade is not mad.
23.	Andolsun (Muhammed) onu apaçık ufukta görmüştür.
	Surely he beheld him on the clear horizon.
24.	O, gayb hakkında (verdiği haberlerden dolayı) suçlanamaz.
	And he is not avid of the Unseen.
25.	O (Kur'ân) kovulmuş şeytânın sözü değildir.
	Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stonedd
26.	O halde nereye gidiyorsunuz?
	Whither then go ye?
27.	O, âlemlere öğüttür.
	This is naught else than a reminder unto creation,
28.	Aranızdan doğru hareket etmek isteyen için;
	Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight.
29.	Âlemlerin Rabbi Allâh dilemedikçe siz dileyemezsiniz.
	And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah, the Lord of Creation, willeth.
